Hi there,
We’re reaching out to inform you about recent changes to VAT (Value Added Tax) on WooPayments transaction fees.
As of September 2, 2025, VAT may be added to your WooPayments transaction fees if required by your local tax laws.
The tax rate depends on your country and local rules. You may also be exempt from these charges (zero-rated). You can find country-specific details on our fees page.
What do I need to do?
- If you have a valid business VAT, update your information in WooPayments. Our system will check and validate your ID.
- If you are not VAT registered, there is nothing you need to do. Tax will be added to your fees automatically.
Note that tax will also be automatically applied if your ID cannot be verified.
If you have questions or need help updating your details, we’re happy to help. Simply reply to this email to reach our support staff.
Best, The WooPayments Team
